Our Body Shop technicians have been factory trained, have received ASE Certification and have had individual I-Car Platinum training.  They are able to work on all makes and models of vehicles.

We want to make sure that you, our valued customer, understand completely all the steps we will follow to repair your vehicle by your and your insurance company's standards:

  1. File Claim. When you file a claim with your insurance company, the process begins.
  2. Appraisal. After you arrive here, we make an appointment with your insurance company to appraise the vehicle.  The work begins after we accept liability for the repairs.
  3. Disassembling. After the vehicle is disassembled, we check for uncovered damages.  If any are found, we will require a second appraisal.
  4. Order parts. This may take a few days,  depending on the extent of the damage.
  5. Repairs. We will begin to repair and restore the vehicle.  It may be mounted on a frame machine for our metal technicians.  We will make sure to tell you of the status of your vehicle.
  6. Priming. Priming will seal and protect your vehicle against chemical treatments of the body panels and corrosion.
  7. Painting, Buffing. Our first step will be preliminary taping, bagging and masking.  The second step will be painting, refinishing, and buffing.  This does take time, but is necessary to make your vehicle's paint look as good as the original paint.
  8. Final Repairs, Trim. Molding and trim is installed before we begin necessary repairs such as suspensions, air conditioning work, tire alignment, etc.
  9. Wash, Inspect. We want to present your vehicle to you clean inside and outside.  After it is washed, it undergoes a final inspection to make sure all repairs meet criteria of the customer and the insurance company.

We will be happy to go over the estimate given to you, explaining each point to make sure you are aware of every step of your repair.

Although Brian Toliver Ford Lincoln does not have a rental department, if your insurance provides it, we will be happy to quickly put you in touch with a local automobile rental company.  Many drivers do not know whether or not their insurance policy provides rental vehicles, or even like-kind rental vehicles.  For instance, your full-size pickup needed for work, could be replaced with a compact rental car.  We recommend contacting your insurance agent in order to know exactly what your insurance will cover.

Your "best insurance" is to check on your current insurance policy and see what it covers now, before it is needed.  Then, if you need our Body Shop, they will verify your coverage as well as your deductible.
